چکیده
Atmospheric ducts could disturb radar detection and radio communication in the Arctic risk increasing human activities under warming. It is an urgent need to understand atmospheric Arctic, with distinct systems environment. This study attempts analyze surface over Svalbard, as a critical region Ocean, discuss relation oceanic conditions, based on observation reanalysis data. The results show occurrence of 12.6 percent, mean strength 1.30 MU, depth 13 m for duct Svalbard winter from December 2018 February 2020. characterized two types: T-type mainly constructed by temperature inversion H-type humidity gradient. dominates winter, appearance percentage 80 indicating importance construction. closely related conditions because occurs colder, drier, northeasterly weather warmer, wetter, southeasterly higher sea temperature.

Winter to winter recurrence of atmospheric circulation anomalies over East Asia and its impact on winter surface air temperature anomalies
The persistence of atmospheric circulation anomalies over East Asia shows a winter to winter recurrence (WTWR) phenomenon. Seasonal variations in sea level pressure anomalies and surface wind anomalies display significantly different characteristics between WTWR and non-WTWR years. The WTWR years are characterized by the recurrence of both a strong (weak) anomalous Siberian High and an East Asi...
متن کاملAtmospheric circulation patterns which promote winter Arctic sea ice decline
The impact of winter atmospheric blocking over the Ural Mountains region (UB) coincident with different phases of the North Atlantic Oscillation (NAO) on the sea ice variability over the Barents and Kara Seas (BKS) in winter is investigated. It is found that the UB in conjunction with the positive phase of the NAO (NAOþ) leads to the strongest sea ice decline. During this phase composites and t...
متن کاملGlobal atmospheric forcing data for Arctic ice-ocean modeling
We compare three forcing data sets, all variants of NCEP forcing, in global ice-ocean simulations and evaluate them for use in Arctic model studies. The data sets include the standard Arctic Ocean Model Intercomparison Project (AOMIP) protocol, standard NCEP forcing fields, and the data set of Large and Yeager (2004). We explore their performance in Arctic simulations using a global, coupled, s...
متن کاملRiverine source of Arctic Ocean mercury inferred from atmospheric observations
Methylmercury is a potent neurotoxin that accumulates in aquatic food webs. Human activities, including industry and mining, have increased inorganic mercury inputs to terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems. Methylation of this mercury generates methylmercury, and is thus a public health concern. Marine methylmercury is a particular concern in the Arctic, where indigenous peoples rely heavily on ma...
متن کاملstudy of atmospheric total ozone variations due to winter synoptic scale disturbances over iran
ozone is an important chemical constituent of the atmosphere, and stratosphere it protects the earth surface from harmful uv radiations, such that it is known as “good ozone” while, in the lower troposphere it is a highly oxidizing pollutant and known as “bad ozone”. it is also a greenhoure gas that can affect the climate. hence, the study of spatial and temporal variations of ozone is importan...
